Thank You

Thank you to everyone for all the positive email and telephone feedback regarding the Eliminate Small Business initiative.

I thought it was about time I got my act together and started a blog to help things along a bit.

You will soon be able to download from the site the first of a series of Special Entrepreneur's Report. The aim of the reports is to help others be more successful.

I will make an announcement when the first report is released.

Yours sincerely

  1. Must be something in Melbourne's water supply, Peter. Great stuff. :D

I'm not sure how successful eliminating the term "small business" is likely to be. It's like so many others... they have a long-established, fixed meaning that's effectively impossible to change. So you just have to come up with better alternatives and focus on them, ignoring the old term altogether and hoping that it will wither and die.

I feel much the same way about the term "self-employed". It's the most lethal mindset any entrepreneur can adopt. It has failure pre-programmed into it.

The simple reality is that there's only one difference between an employee and someone's who regards themselves as self-employed: the degree of certainty involved.

Whereas an employee can only suspect that his or her boss is a total ignoramus when it comes to running a business, the self-employed person can be absolutely, 100%-guaranteed certain.
